A world-class education, rooted in two cultures
With 27 AP courses, a dual-diploma path recognized by both the U.S. and Costa Rica, and a curriculum built on US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, Berkeley Academy prepares students for the world's most competitive universities — without losing sight of who they are.
Academics
We build change-makers.
From Integrated Mathematics in 6th grade to AP Calculus BC and Discrete Mathematics in 12th, from Pre-AP Honors Social Studies to AP U.S. Government and Politics, our curriculum is built to balance breadth and depth — offering something for every student while giving each one room to go deep into what they love.
At the center of it all is Berkeley Academy's dual commitment: full US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards curriculum, alongside Costa Rica's MEP national requirements. Every graduate leaves prepared for both worlds.
